🎧 Earned Value Analysis – Full Study Album
This album turns EVM formulas into sound cues you can remember under pressure.
Each track covers one core metric or forecast concept from the Control Costs process.
Play them in order to feel the flow of performance measurement.
1. Planned Value (PV)
The work you *planned* to have done by now.
2. Earned Value (EV)
The value of the *actual* progress achieved.
3. Actual Cost (AC)
The amount you’ve *actually* spent to date.
4. Cost Performance Index (CPI)
Efficiency of cost use — EV divided by AC.
5. Schedule Performance Index (SPI)
Efficiency of time — EV divided by PV.
6. Schedule Variance (SV)
EV minus PV — the schedule gap in value terms.
7. Cost Variance (CV)
EV minus AC — what you saved or overspent.
8. Budget at Completion (BAC)
Total planned budget for the full project.
9. Estimate at Completion (EAC)
Expected total cost based on current trends.
10. Estimate to Complete (ETC)
How much more you’ll likely spend to finish.
11. Variance at Completion (VAC)
BAC minus EAC — your expected overrun or underrun.
12. To Complete Performance Index (TCPI)
The efficiency needed to meet the goal from here.
Each song reinforces a formula, a ratio, or a forecasting mindset.
Repetition builds recall — listen until the math becomes rhythm.
