What This Site Is For
McAllen Mobile Park Events is a community calendar website created to give residents one simple place to see what is happening in the park. Instead of searching through Facebook posts, asking around, or checking paper notices, residents can come here and quickly view upcoming events and open event details.
This site was designed especially for a community that includes many older adults. The goal is to keep everything clear, readable, and familiar. The layout is simple on purpose. It avoids unnecessary clutter, complicated menus, and hard-to-use search features.
How To Use The Site
Start on the Calendar page. The center of the page shows the embedded community calendar, while the surrounding cards and sidebars highlight the most useful event information.
The left side of the page shows recurring events. These are regular activities that happen on an ongoing basis, such as weekly games, meetings, and social gatherings.
The right side of the page shows featured events. These cards highlight special events and can be selected to open more information.
Use the navigation at the top of the page to move between the main sections of the website, contact the event coordinator, or open the event submission page.
Why The Site Looks Simple
The site is meant to feel familiar, almost like looking at a printed calendar and event flyer. Larger text, simple page sections, and clear labels make it easier to read on a phone, tablet, or computer.
The focus of this website is not flashy design. The focus is helping residents quickly find the information they need without confusion.
Submitting An Event
Residents and organizers can use the submission page to fill out the event form; completing it downloads a CSV file for review. Once approved, the event can be added to the community calendar so others can see it.
Contact
If you need help, want to ask a question, or need to follow up on an event, open the contact page or email the event coordinator directly.
