Requirements Validation Checklist
Use this checklist before approving or finalizing a requirement.
1. Clarity
- Is the requirement stated in clear, unambiguous language?
- Does it avoid jargon, unless glossary-supported?
- Is it testable or verifiable?
2. Relevance
- Is it aligned with an ECO Task or Enabler?
- Is it appropriate for the current phase of the project?
- Does it provide learner or stakeholder value?
3. Feasibility
- Can it be implemented using current publishing tools?
- Is it within the available time and resource constraints?
4. Traceability
- Has it been assigned a unique ID (e.g., REQ-2025-002)?
- Is it documented in the Requirements Traceability Matrix?
- Is it linked to at least one planned deliverable?
5. Approval
- Has the sponsor reviewed and approved this requirement?
- If applicable, has the change control process been followed?
