Operational Codes

Slide 7: Operational Codes Point to the Problem

Operational codes are the key to understanding what kind of issue is delaying a repair. They help separate equipment that needs maintenance action from equipment waiting on parts, external support, or another condition that is keeping it from returning to service.

Leadership must study these codes closely because they point to the arena where pressure can be effective. Pressure applied in the right place, whether toward parts, manpower, follow-up, or support coordination, is what turns ESR data into improved readiness.
